Creating New Value! We cordially invite you at KOREA PACK 2016!

All Products are packaged before being released in the market. Used in a wide range of industries across food and drink, healthcare, cosmetics and other consumer goods as well as a range of industrial sectors, packaging has become an essential everyday item, with its usage growing broadly. Companies need to take into consideration consumers’ taste, functionality, patterns, safety, logistics costs, environmental issues after using their products, and other issues to make their products marketable. Such issues can be solved by improving packaging technologies.

The rate of growth of packaging industry in Korea is increasing. The Korean packaging industry’s sales in 2011 figures about USD 30 billion and 17 million according to MOTIE (Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy) and KITECH (Korea Institute of Industrial Technology). Its scale is 6.8% higher than 2010. The sales of global packaging market figures about USD 67 billion. It will reach USD 82 billion by 2016 with 3% growth.

Compare to this, the Korean packaging market’s growth rate is twice higher than other countries’. Korea Packaging Industry is growing steadily across the stable demand of primary & secondary industries. According to the survey data of National Statistical office, packaging industry’s sales accounted for 2% of the total manufacturing’. It is less than Software, but larger than Bio or Robot industry. In the field of packaging, plastic sector accounted for 51.9% (USD 15 billion and 30 million) of total sales.

To accelerate the improvements of the packaging industry in Korea, we, Kyungyon Exhibition Corp. are holding the Korea International Packaging Exhibition.
