We are proud of our tradition since we were born in 1947and we have stuck to those values, professionalism and reliability which have been our main features throughout our history that covers three generations.

And we are keen on progress since our company is dynamic, rich in expectations for the future and willing to keep on innovating. These are the reasons why La Metallurgica has become aninternational market leader in the production of collapsible, aluminium tubes.

Our customers portfolio is made of some of the biggest names in the national and international business world active in the cosmetics, pharmaceutics, food and industrial sectors.
Exports, especially to European countries account for over 25% of our annual production.

Over 100 people are employed in our plant in Albignano, near Milan, in order to make sure that the 700.000 tubes we manufacture every day meet our strict requirements in terms of quality. Over the past five years we have been investing in research and development and in new equipment about 10% of our annual turnover.

Our Group

One of the aspects that characterize La Metallurgica making it absolutely unique, is itspioneering spirit, supported by the collaboration with Martinenghi, the Affiliate in the Group which deals with R&D, engineering and the manufacturing of machines for the production of aluminium tubes and aerosol cans.

In 1982 we decided to diversify our activities and Martinenghi joined our Group so enhancing our core business by exploiting their expertise in the creation of machines and equipment aimed at developing highly innovative projects.

And, thanks to our pioneering spirit, La Metallurgica has always been open to collaboration with other partners in relation to our traditional product ranges or for the launch of new ones.

We are always up to date concerning state of the art technologies. It means we are able to optimize products and processes and to develop new ones featuring a high added value in terms of cutting edge technologies.

Just to mention one of our past innovation, it is worth remembering that a “Leak Control Machine” has been recently patented and then installed on our production lines; such machine can verify that all tubes are 100% leak free and has allowed us to further improve our quality standard turning our company into a reference for all businesses of the sector.

The milestone is the year 2014 with the launch of the Digit system, the digital system applied on the alu tubes.
