Bell entices men to the barbeque in Neopac's Polyfoil tubes

neopac_side.jpgThis summer Bell Switzerland AG launched meat marinades in newly designed packaging. Neopac’s Polyfoil tubes passed all the tests and were selected. The laminate structure with aluminium barriers protects the marinade from light, moisture and chemical influences. The marinade can be stored in the tube unrefrigerated.

The flip-top cap with the tamper-evident rip of band is watertight, despite the oils in the marinade. The correct size of aperture in the cap allows the marinade with finely chopped herbs to come out without lumps.

The design is primarily aimed at men: the tubes have a matt metallic effect with black offset printing and a black cap. The white and coloured text is screen printed. The combination of printing processes results in a high quality packaging for a top quality food product. That’s the view shared by the customers of the Swiss retailer, COOP.

Sauces in tubes?

The marinades project began one and a half years ago. Bell was formulating marinades containing oils and they came across Neopac tubes while looking for suitable packaging. There were some points to consider because the specific foods involved placed particular demands on the packaging: the contents (the marinade) had to dispense easily, all materials had gto be compatible with the contents, and for products containing oils, the cap had to form a seal, even after the packaging was opened.

Bell is a Swiss meat producer that specializes in high quality meat products, poultry, charcuterie, seafood and convenience foods. The target market for the new herb and spice marinades is men who cook on the barbeque.
