The mother company is the Italian NOLANPLASTICA SPA founded in 1975 in Saviano (Na) by the winning entrepreneurial intuition of Mr. La Marca to invest in the filming of the polyethylene. In little more than a decade, the company grows and develops itself going from a local to a national reality to assert itself later into the global market as one of the largest manufacturers of flexible packaging.
Thanks to the know-how acquired, the company now boasts in three continents (Europe, Africa and America) an indisputable reputation for its films technical excellence and the high quality of the service offered to all customers.
The headquarters is at Saviano (Na) in Italy and it covers an area of 45,000 square meters of which about 11,000 square meters fully covered and destined for the offices, the manufacturing division and the research and control laboratory.
The other company of the Group is the Tunisian MEDFILM SARL which boasts two production facilities in the industrial areas of Menzel and Bizerte, near the port of Rades.
Both cover a total area of about 8,000 square meters fully covered., and discovered 12.000 square meters.
MEDFILM AND NOLANPLASTICA LABORATORIES
Our laboratories are located within the Italian and Tunisian production departments and are equipped with modern facilities to allow analysis of the raw materials and finished products.The instruments for measuring and analyzing (dynamometer, pendulum Elmendorf, Ball Drop, microscope, rheometer, feeler gauge) are all calibrated according to appropriate programs and procedures administered in a controlled way. All the tests are performed according to the international standards of ASTM. In particular, rheological and calorimetric analysis are made on the incoming raw materials to verify the compliance of resins’ properties to the technical specifications provided by suppliers. The quality control on the finished products is done by subjecting samples of the same production lot to mechanical and physical tests in order to verify the resistance of the film to different types of stresses. Test results are recorded in the specific analysis report which is regularly archived together with the related samples for a certain period of time in case of any non conformity.
