Despite the early start of the strawberry season due to the effects of the weather, Obeikan MDF has new designs ready for any strawberry size.

The Spanish company's 1kg and 500g formats are both establishing themselves as unit sales proposals with added value as larger strawberries are no longer squashed down and can be included comfortably in the pack.

"We are seeing a growing interest in European distribution for this kind of format as the new strawberry season is seeing an increased quantity of larger calibre strawberries which just don't fit properly into other packaging types."
