As leading manufacturers of printed cartons, Qualvis Print & Packaging has been providing brands with high quality packaging for over 30 years.
Who we are
Owned and operated by the Short family, the company initially concentrated on food packaging. As the business developed and markets diversified, Qualvis also began supplying cosmetic packaging, multimedia packaging, horticulture packaging and DIY/Household packaging; the core business is still the design and production of carton packaging solutions for the food manufacturing industry.
Investment
The company is rightly proud of its heritage. Following a £4m investment and refurbishment programme in 2013, Qualvis has continued to forge long standing relationships with a valued and broad customer base, including providing bespoke food packaging for higher value ranges, such as Tesco’s Finest, Marks & Spencer and Heston for Waitrose.

Qualvis maintains rigorous high professional standards throughout its business. The company is accredited with the BRC/IOP Global Standard For Packaging and Packaging Materials, FSC certified and holds the ISO 9001/2008 quality management standard.
What we do
Design
The integrated carton design studio offers a full CAD design service, together with Fogra certified colour proofing or fully uv printed mock ups of finished artwork or concept designs. These are printed directly onto the correct board substrate to show exactly how the finished carton will look, including finishes such as spot glosses.
Print
A seven-colour litho printing press with dual coater in addition to a dedicated UV six-colour single coater. The combination allows more flexibility and increased shift patterns. Presses are equipped to print with UV inks and coatings. Where possible low migration and vegetable inks are used. Low migration ink contains only substances that do not migrate, or that are evaluated for food contact.
Post-Print
The post-print facilities at Qualvis can provide a range of finishing options to the carton manufacturing process and include:
Foil blocking, Braille, Laminating, Pick & Place windowing, In-house die-making, Gluing, Die-cutting, Promotional Coding, Embossing, Leaflets, Vac Forming
