For anybody outside the packaging industry it might seem counter-intuitive, but it is common for bottles to be produced separately form their caps, lids, or closures, mainly because technology and materials often differ in the two productions.

In Serioplast we have chosen to disrupt this widespread model, introducing a new philosophy of bringing closures and bottles closer together. The purpose is to go the extra mile (or rather, to reduce the mileage) to improve and streamline the service we offer clients, who can benefit from relying on one trusted converter across all levels of the logistics.

We have invested in capabilities and technology to expand our product portfolio in the field of injected applications, caps, and closures for a variety of market categories, such as home care, laundry, personal care and pharma.

The key to the model is the strategic proximity to the client, localizing injection activities inside Serioplast plants already dedicated to blow-moulding production, and close to the client’s production plant. Further advantages consist in the elimination of ForEx and associated exchange rate fluctuation risks, as well as custom delays and associated costs.

Serioplast takes the burden off Brand Owners and directly manages the complexity of combined blowing and injection production, improving coordination between the functions involved, such as Quality and R&D, ensuring enhanced compatibility of bottles and matching closures, optimized neck design, light weighting, and PCR material testing. In this model the converter also takes on direct management of the resin supply with different raw materials such as HDPE and PP.

On a technical level, we have standardized our injection moulding platform by choosing reliable technological partners: this allows for swiftly starting or re-locating production and moulds across any one of the Serioplast plants, wherever our clients need us.

Advantages are multifold: simplified logistics is the result of optimizing both economic and environmental costs by cutting down on transports and ultimately reducing CO2 emissions, thanks to closer localization to the customer.
