Spectra Packaging recently attended and supported J. Myhre Aps House of Packaging at Scanpack 2015.

The prestigious European packaging show was staged in October in Gothenburg, Sweden where J. Myhre showcased products including Spectra bottles and closures.

Gary Allard, Field Sales Representative at Spectra flew out to the event to help man their stand, taking enquiries and offering support to their valued Danish partner.

He commented, "As our highly regarded distributor for Scandinavia, we were only too happy to offer assistance at this particular show. The fantastic support they have offered Spectra over the past year in Scandinavia cannot be underestimated. By attending and helping, it was our small way of saying thank you".

Indeed, Spectra's recent successes in countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway andFinland owes much to their strong relationship with J. Myhre and the fine work their official Scandinavian distributor provides in the Nordic territories.

Over the years Spectra has enjoyed a very productive relationship with Martin Myhre, Managing Director at J. Myhre, who has been a valuable European contact for the Suffolk based manufacturer, generating a number of projects in the Scandinavian region.

Gary went on to add, "It is vital to the future success of our overseas sales that Spectra forges strong lasting relationships with our trusted European distributors. The Scandinavian market is an important and exciting opportunity for us and Martin and his team provide us with tireless enthusiasm, whilst being an extremely active partner in a region we are looking to expand in".

The Scanpack show is seen as Northern Europe's premier packaging exhibition, bringing together customers, buyers and exhibitors from far a field, with a wide range of packaging sectors represented. The four-day show saw Spectra attend for the first time in Sweden where they received a number of positive visitor enquiries and interest.

Martin Myhre commented, "The show provided us with an excellent platform to showcase our product offerings. The opportunity to provide flexibility with minimum order quantities on Spectra products was very well received by visitors. Additionally, Spectra’s recent advances in Biopolymer and PCR (Post Consumer Recycling) packaging generated genuine interest among Scandinavian customers who enjoy a sustainable way of living”.

Our long-term desire has always been to reduce virgin material levels in our products, encouraging our customers to embrace Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content. To back up this desire, we continue to put solid and robust supply chains in place to support customer demand. Since then, we have seen more and more customers appreciate the environmental benefits of recycled content in their packaging, with many taking levels beyond 10%, in many instances as high as 100%.
