Lyn Butler has always loved beautiful sky-high heels but hated the discomfort and pain they caused. After trying every insole, gel pad, flower insert and product on the market, she came to the conclusion that when it came to fabulous footwear, “Stiletto Suffering” was a fact of life.
Personally and professionally, through a career that included roles as Assistant Buyer in Cosmetics, Special Investigative Researcher and finally a National Television Producer and Writer, she suffered for her beautiful shoes, always keeping a comfortable pair handy in her bag.
One evening after 4 hours in 4-inch heels on a marble floor at a fashion industry event (with no comfort shoes in her tiny evening bag), she had had enough.
In an age when reality was virtual and smart phones answered questions, she found it impossible to believe that no one had ever found anything to prevent everyday Stiletto Suffering. The next morning, she woke up determined to create a solution that was not only natural but safe--it could not numb the foot but still had to prevent the pain.
After two years obsessed with research on the health of the foot, history and design of shoes, working with the most advanced chemists and overseeing in-depth testing, Lyn finally introduced her now famed brainchild, Still Standing®.
