Meet Big Al and Ginger

Meet Big Al and Ginger, members of the family, custom built and designed for us by HBS Copper (aka Hill Billy Stills) out of Kentucky, home to the best bourbon in the world with generations of moonshining experience.

Big Al is our vodka, moonshine and whiskey master, while ‘Gin’ger is our gin queen. She’s smaller but a shining example of how powerful things can come in small packages. Big Al and Ginger are handmade works of art — kind of like Tumbleweed, if we do say so ourselves.

We almost lost it all during those heady gold rush days. After David Douglas struck gold near Osoyoos in 1833, American prospectors flooded the area. For a while, it looked like this might become American territory, but the locals were a hardy bunch. Sir James Douglas, a badass governor of what became B.C., hired some muscle, laid down the law, and took back control. It’s probably fair to assume Sir Douglas had a few to build up his courage.
