SGD is the first and only company to offer 100% recycled and 100% recyclable glass for the perfume & cosmetics industry.

Made exclusively out of clear household cullet, the manufacturing process reduces the use of raw materials, minimizes CO2 emissions and saves energy. The result is a glass geared towards the aesthetic standards of the perfume industry with a lower impact on the environment.

Conscious of current and forthcoming environmental concerns, SGD seeks to be a responsible, innovative and forerunning player in the field of sustainable development, and is therefore launching a major innovation within the glass industry : Infinite Glass, the first 100% recycled glass.

Glass, an endlessly recyclable material, is well-known for being one of the most eco-friendly materials available.
However, its composition has never permitted the production of a 100% recycled glass: in the perfumery industry, glass is generally composed of 30% in-house cullet (recycling of the production loss) and 70% raw materials (sand, sodium and fining agents).

Using a higher level of cullet enables lowering raw material extractions, energy consumption and CO2 output.

After 18 months of research and development, SGD has successfully reached its goal of producing a type of glass with a very low impact on the environment: the company has launched Infinite Glass, the first glass  made of 100% white household cullet.

This new type of glass is an additional asset to SGD know-how and is specifically produced on demand at the company's factory in Mers-les-Bains.
