WestRock named to FORTUNE’s list of world’s most admired companies

WestRock Company, a leading provider of differentiated paper and packaging solutions, has announced that it has been named to FORTUNE magazine's annual list of the World’s Most Admired Companies. It is the fifth-consecutive year WestRock has been named to the prestigious list.

“I am proud of the work our 50,000 team members around the world do every day to connect people to products and to deliver value for our customers and stockholders”

The World’s Most Admired Companies list is widely considered to be the definitive report card on corporate reputation. It is based on company surveys and peer ratings from senior executives, directors and analysts on nine attributes considered critical to a company’s global success.

Coca-Cola bottler replaces 200,000 pounds of plastic a year with WestRock paper packaging solution

Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages and WestRock will collaborate to implement a paperboard carrier that replaces plastic rings for its multipack bottled beverages. Advancing sustainability efforts, WestRock’s PETCollar™ Shield Plus paper-based packaging will be used at Liberty’s Philadelphia production facility to package Coca-Cola’s top brands in multipacks.

Definitive agreement reached for WestRock to acquire Multi Packaging Solutions for $18.00 per share

WestRock Company and Multi Packaging Solutions International Limited announced today that a definitive agreement has been reached for WestRock to acquire all of the outstanding shares of MPS for $18.00 per share in cash and the assumption of an estimated $873 million in net debt, for a total enterprise value of $2.28 billion.

WestRock and Grupo Gondi complete joint venture

It has been announced that WestRock and Grupo Gondi have completed the formation of a joint venture combining their paper and packaging operations in Mexico. The combination was recently approved by Mexico’s Antitrust Authority, the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (COFECE), and the companies will begin operating in Mexico as a single entity immediately.
