November 2015 sees Rexam return to Brau Beviale (Hall 4A - Stand 115) to showcase our latest innovations. With new products on show and an interactive corner for exploring the recently expanded Graphics & Design Centre; customer collaboration, innovation and sustainability will be the key themes on the Rexam stand this year.
For the third consecutive year, Rexam will be the headline sponsor of the World Beverage Innovation Awards, further highlighting the can makers dedication and support of innovation. Iain Percival, Sector Director for Rexam Europe, will address guests at the annual prize giving ceremony, held at the show.
Commenting on Rexam's presence at Brau, Percival says, "All good relationships are founded on trust, and at Rexam it's a key component in our partnerships with customers. Brau provides our team with an ideal opportunity to meet face-to-face with customers, to listen to them, and to better understand their requirements, so that we can support them further in expanding their brands."
On the Rexam stand, design experts will be on hand so visitors can experience the collaborative journey from design concept through to proof can production, as offered at the Graphics & Design Centre in Luton, Rexam's European headquarters. This will include guided tours of Rexam's online design portal and bespoke can design production. A first look at Rexam's refreshed value added offering will also be on show, including innovative inks and finishes, all designed to create greater on-shelf impact.
Also new to the stand for 2015, will be Rexam's innovative XLOE CDL ends (extra large opening ends), offering customers a faster and smoother pour. The XLOE CDL ends offers brand differentiation and an improved consumer experience, with no 'splash-back'.
In addition, Rexam's entire range of beverage cans, complete with the new Super Sleek®400ml and 473ml cans with 202 ends and award winning FUSION® bottle, will be displayed. Next generation technologies, including Rexam's first to market patent pending Editions™ technology (enabling 8-24 variants of the same label to be produced simultaneously on a single pallet) and Super Premium Editions™ (offering high definition printing of detailed images) will also be available.
When it comes to sustainability, many goals are shared between manufacturers, clients and consumers. The can world already performs well – consumer perception is that cans are environmentally friendly and the can is the most recycled beverage packaging in the world. At Brau this year, Rexam will be highlighting its efforts to encourage customers to incorporate the new Metal Recycles Forever logo into their can designs. The logo, developed by Metal Packaging Europe, helps consumers see how they can play a positive and active role in recycling.
