Essentra, a leading global supplier of health and personal care packaging, has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards for its work on the Nivea Love Lips lip care gift-pack. Essentra was announced as a finalist for both the ‘Cartonboard Pack of the Year’ in this year’s UK Packaging Awards and for “Best New Design and Packaging” at the Pure Beauty awards.

The innovative product, Nivea Love Lips, is a unique gift-pack including a trio of lip balms in a variety of Nivea’s popular flavours. Essentra worked closely with Beiersdorf to create the new gift-pack, unrestricted by seasonal stereotypes, that would ensure consumers were presented with the same well-loved products but in a new gifting option that could be purchased all year round.

Nivea Love Lips incorporates many bespoke features, such as an innovative magnetic closure component and the use of premium foils, multi-colour varnishes and embossing on a luxurious silk material.

Emma Williams, Global Category Co-Ordinator at Essentra said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for both the UK Packaging Awards and the Pure Beauty Awards this year. We are constantly adapting our services to meet the ever- changing needs of our customers, and it’s encouraging to see that our collaboration and hard work is being recognised across the industry.”
