IIC Packaging has produced the delightful new ice-cream bucket for Percy Pig, contributing to the high success of the line.

The brief was to develop a weight-reduced bucket with high transparency in order to highlight the finer points of the new “Percy-Pig” ice cream. Percy Pig is one of the most popular confectionery brands within the UK.

"IIC were delighted to contribute to the success of this line."

The result was a huge demand for the product accompanied by a media campaign which ran for several weeks.

Hybrid packaging reduces plastic content

IIC is well known for its innovative packaging solutions for the food industry. The company's Desto packaging —or Hybrid packaging— for food, offers many advantages. Maintaining the typical characteristics of a pack, the plastic content can be reduced by up to a whopping 80%.

Reusable egg box: From fridge to pot

IIC's reusable egg box is an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable egg packaging. The packaging features two removable egg trays that offer space for four eggs each.

When Cadbury wanted to make the production and logistics of its confectionary tube more efficient, the brand turned to IIC AG.

IIC produces new soup tub for M&S

M&S's design specification required leak-proof packaging that simultaneously met the requirements of both hot and cold filling. IIC developed a unique oval shape with a sturdy lid fit which solved the customers filling issues.

An innovative yogurt tub for Yoplait

Yoplait is one of the worlds most famous international yoghurt brands. IIC was tasked to produce particularly robust yoghurt cups that would provide excellent handling while seamlessly integrating the brand design into the outer layer of the product.

Differentiation is key in the retail trade to stand out against other products on the shelf and catch the customer's eye. For Mondelez, we were asked to suggest a new format that would be eye-catching and provide great brand presence for one of its Philadelphia products.

The requirements for the new Philadelphia cup for the Australian market were many and varied. Complex logistics, four different tub sizes, over 80 different lines to print, along with a new production filling process.

Bioplastics as a material for food packaging

All packaging produced by IIC is also available in bioplastics. The term bioplastic refers to both biodegradable plastics and plastics made from renewable biological raw materials (biobased). These can be obtained from materials such as sugar cane, corn, cassava and olive seeds. We have been successfully researching and developing new bioplastics for several years.

IIC AG has developed the world’s first coffee mug made from olive pomace. The bio-plastic is biodegradable, contains no harmful substances and is certified for the food sector.

IIC introduces reusable yogurt lid

IIC Packaging has introduced a new reusable lid for yoghurt pots. The 95mm diameter lid is suitable for most yoghurt cup sizes, is designed specifically for the end user and can be washed in the dishwasher and reused after initial use.

IIC and Aldi support NHS and Teenage Cancer Trust with limited edition ice-cream

Aldi is selling rainbow ice cream in Great Britain for 10 weeks from June 2020 as a limited special edition. IIC has provided the ice cream packs at a discounted price to support the initiative.
