Plastic and sustainability: The achievable and necessary combination

  • Induplast Packaging Group

In recent years, plastic stands accused for most of what is wrong with the environment. We consider it one of the main factors that pollutes our planet because we see it floating in our seas, lying on our beaches and dispersed in the environment.

However, we believe it is right to focus attention on behavior and not only blame plastic itself; reducing pollution is, in fact, a process that affects the choices of all players involved: suppliers, producers, brands and consumers.

As producers we are doing our part by processing recycled and recyclable products, designing mono-material packaging that can easily enter the recycling chain and therefore contribute to a circular economic model that provides for the recovery, transformation and reuse of resources, thus lengthening plastic’s life cycle.

The production of bottles, jars, stick containers and lip balm containers in post-consumer recycled materials for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical (OTC) and food industries is growing exponentially.

The use of R-PE, R-PET, R-PP and PCR polymers allow companies to create sustainable plastic packaging and meet the needs of consumers who are increasingly attentive and aware of the environmental impact of products used in everyday life.
