Recyclable Mono-material PE tube with HDPE Caps

Most flip-top and screw caps for tubes are currently made from polypropylene (PP) because they form a good seal on the polyethylene tube shoulder and provide an attractive surface. However, combining different types of plastic in packaging has a recyclability disadvantage, as sorting by type is impossible. Neopac has managed to find HDPE materials that are easily workable and are of optically high quality.

Mono-material packaging makes things much easier for brands and consumers. Mono-material plastic tubes can be sorted by type, and tube bodies and caps made from PE materials, are critical factors in guaranteeing a more sustainable recycling process.
