Tennessee white whisky got a makeover thanks to Short Mountain Distillery and TricorBraun Design and Innovation, who created a 1930s-era bottle that unquestionably positions Short Mountain Moonshine as the modern-day heir apparent to white lightning.

TricorBraun Design and Innovation is part of TricorBraun, one of North America’s largest providers of jars, bottles and other rigid packaging components.

Short Mountain Moonshine is sold in 750 mil, individually designed bottles made with custom grade flint glass.  Unique to the design is an indentation in the bottle’s shoulder into which a commemorative, seasonal medallion is placed.  Other embellishments include a hand- drawn paper label. It uses a T-top wood and cork closure.

TricorBraun has more than 40 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, England and Asia.  The company’s primary focus is on packaging for personal care; cosmetics; healthcare; food and beverages; as well as industrial and household chemicals.

Short Mountain Distillery began production in January 2012. It employs a traditional process using local stone milled grain and Tennessee spring water to create a sour mash moonshine.
