  • MingFeng Packaging

As young buyers now search for innovation and originality, spirit and wine companies are demonstrating how, with just a burst of colour, twist on tradition, and material enhancements, brands are able to transcend the parameters of the mass-market and launch themselves into the luxurious. MingFeng is no exception to the rule, stepping up to the challenge of fabulous design, and boasting the hallmark of luxury packaging.

Exuding sunshine brilliance, the radiant yellow of our first example of MingFeng’s packaging is what lends it its stand-out quality, catching the eye of any consumer as it sits proudly on the shelf. Magnificence is not limited to colouring, however, as gilded debossed lettering and the smart leather material add further majesty to MingFeng’s box. Inside, the liquor stands high on a golden plinth, and its pedestal position grants the product a premium mystique, engaging consumers and maximizing sales.

The Macallan Oscuro packaging undoubtedly lives up to its namesake, as the luscious richness of the wooden box reflects the deep colour of the alcohol cushioned within. Smooth finishes and gold lettering look back nostalgically at a venerable heritage, whilst the neat angular contrast between the rectangular and triangular silhouettes, coupled with the geometric detail within, serves as a stylish modern twist. Tradition is upturned further by how the box’s halves fan out to the side, upholding MingFeng’s Macallan Oscuro packaging as the epitome of a whiskey drinker’s desires.

MingFeng’s bamboo box seems seductively simple, yet consumers quickly realise that there is far more to it than perhaps first meets the eye. Exemplifying versatility, the bamboo box can hold up to an impressive six bottles of wine. The three circular holes cut into the facet of the case allow for clarity, enabling the consumer to see right through to the bottle standing inside. Opened out like a ladder, the bamboo box serves as a fabulous contraption for displaying wine bottles, and so it would come as no surprise if MingFeng’s packaging were to become an absolute household essential in years to come.

Highland Park remains proud of their Viking history, and MingFeng demonstrates perfection in matching their packaging to this barbarian heritage. Returning to nature’s simplicity with a case crafted from bamboo, consumers are reminded of Orkney’s rugged landscape, whilst the detailed design of the Loch Ness Monster with its jaw snarling menacingly on the box’s front, alongside the nest of scales printed on the inside, harks back to the fearsome folklore of Scotland’s stormy seas. Engendering thrills with the terrifying, MingFeng’s packaging leaves drinking Highland Park’s scotch malt whiskey an experience to be desired.

MingFeng have, without question, risen the bar for wine and spirit packaging designers. With their bold colour choices, eye-catching components, and grandiose designs, MingFeng leave experts in the industry eagerly anticipating what the future holds for them next.
