Choose the best toothpaste packaging for the environment

Finding a sustainable packaging which offers compatibility with the formula is not an easy one for anyone. Tube packaging companies are tackling different goals: Reducing the wall thickness of the tubes but also using mono-materials - are achieved without impairing product safety or barrier properties. Neopac's newly launched Polyfoil® mono-material barrier tubes offer a solution to this problem, as these tubes can reduce tube body weight by as much as 50% as standard plastic tubes!

The tubes are comprised of HDPE-based adhesive laminated barrier structures, containing less than 5% of foreign materials (barrier material, inks, adhesives, etc.) to avoid disruptions in existing recycling processes.

The good news is that more and more toothpaste tubes can be recycled, as big brands now feature our new recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) toothpaste tubes. The toothpaste tubes will flow into the correct stream where collecting systems exist and can be recycled with the HDPE rigid materials.
