Queen of America is a honey co-packer and producer, supporting both its own branded products and partner brands by packaging everything from bulk tanker loads to shelf-ready bottles under one roof.

Working closely with local beekeepers across the Southeast, the company sources honey directly through a transparent, sophisticated supply chain. They provide education on beekeeping best practices and test for purity and freshness in their in-house laboratory. This hands-on approach maintains consistency from hive to bottle while supporting the people behind the product.

Launching a Clean-Label Hot Honey

As consumer demand for hot honey continues to surge, Queen of America saw an opportunity to launch a product that reflected its values while fitting naturally into the category. The brand developed its hot honey with just two ingredients: natural honey and natural pepper extract.

“We wanted a hot honey that reflected who we are: clean, simple, and honest,” said Joaquin Mantovani, Plant Director, Queen of America.

To support the launch, packaging needed to feel immediately recognizable to hot honey consumers while allowing the label to clearly communicate what sets the product apart. Working with Packaging Consultant Miguel Tovar at TricorBraun, the team selected a familiar cylindrical bottle paired with a one-handed flip-top closure commonly associated with hot honey.

“The bottle is easy to squeeze, easy to drizzle, and doesn’t make a mess. The consumer experience is very important to us,” said Mantovani.

Together, the familiar packaging format and clean labeling deliver a hot honey that fits the category while clearly communicating its simple ingredients.

Queen of America Hot Honey: A Mission Rooted in Community

A Long‑Standing Partnership Built on Trust

For Queen of America, packaging plays a critical role in preserving honey quality and delivering the work of local beekeepers to customers across retail, foodservice, and industrial channels. For more than a decade, Miguel has supported Queen of America, becoming an extension of the team, and gaining deep familiarity with production cycles and evolving packaging needs.

“Miguel understands our business inside and out. He knows what we need before we even ask,” said Mantovani.

Miguel proactively monitors inventory, tracks shifts in resin availability and pricing, and plans packaging supply ahead of demand, helping prevent disruptions.

“TricorBraun isn’t just a packaging supplier. They’re a true partner in our operation,” said Mantovani. “TricorBraun’s partnership has been especially important as Queen of America continues to expand our product mix and customer base.”

Warehousing That Keeps Production Moving

As Queen of America’s co-packing operations continue to grow, space and inventory planning remain a constant focus.

“Space is always tight for us. Having TricorBraun hold our packaging inventory and release it when we need it gives us peace of mind. We have confidence that packaging is ready when production calls for it, without having to manage extra warehouse space ourselves,” said Mantovani.

With local warehousing and inventory management support, TricorBraun helps Queen of America:

  • Free up valuable production space
  • Avoid over-ordering or storage bottlenecks
  • Maintain steady production timelines

This approach gives Queen of America the flexibility to respond to changing demand and expand into new channels without packaging or warehouse space becoming a barrier.

A Foundation for Continued Growth

From bulk honey pails to shelf-ready hot honey bottles, TricorBraun supports Queen of America across its evolving packaging needs. The partnership extends beyond sourcing containers and is built on proactive planning, clear communication, and a shared focus on quality.

As Queen of America grows its clean-label portfolio and expands its customer base, TricorBraun continues to support the business in balancing performance, cost, and consumer expectations.

“Our success is tied to strong partners, and TricorBraun plays a big role in that. It comes down to trust, communication, and knowing someone has your back,” said Mantovani.
