CHALLENGE
VALERY JOSEPH, PAM VAILLE LLC, STUDIO DROR and WHIPSMART evaluated the hair care space and determined that Valery’s LONG line needed to interrupt the hair care market with a never-seen shape, aesthetic and new functionality.
SOLUTION
The team collaborated to design, engineer and manufacture a line of ground-breaking hair care packages for his LONG line. The tall rectangular bottles utilize a special super-low-profile engraved snap-in cap that fits flush to the bottle silhouette, giving the appearance of an uninterrupted form. WHIPSMART employed a specialty labeling technique to cover the bottle in graphics, completing the design vision.
CHALLENGE
DRYBAR challenged WHIPSMART to engineer packages for their fast-growing line of hair care products that capture the brands “spirits-inspired” image.
SOLUTION
In collaboration with Drybar’s team of talented in-house designers, we engineered custom bottles with features reminiscent of a whiskey flask. For the closures, we designed liquor-inspired custom aluminum shells that we engineered to work with stock pumps and caps.
CHALLENGE
WHIPSMART was challenged to engineer a
fragrance package for Adam Levine's “FOR HIM”
and “FOR HER” fragrances that look like a retro
mesh-wrapped microphone head.
SOLUTION
Our team of engineers designed a molded mesh outer cap using ABS (plastic resin) that we electroplated to look like a chrome metal mesh. We molded the inner cap in a rich black resin and added a hidden weight to add a level of sophistication and luxury.
CHALLENGE
Valerie McMurray, Founder and CEO of
SOLEIL TOUJOURS,
wanted to restage her luxury sun care brand. The completely custom engineered packages would define the brand’s image and redefine the larger luxury “sunscape.” SOLUTION Valerie and WHIPSMART reimagined her line as a series of glossy rich black forms that will endeavor to change the way consumers perceive sun care products. The deeply engraved PETG black bottles and matte gold anodized aluminum closures evoke pure luxury.
CHALLENGE
ORIBE HAIR CARE wanted to develop a proprietary liter package for in-salon use and for sale. The packages needed to accommodate a standard service cap and high-output pump and mimic the ultra-luxurious, faceted and richly-colored retail packages.
SOLUTION
ORIBE, BUERO NEW YORK’S creative team and WHIPSMART’S engineers collaborated to develop and manufacture the ultra-luxurious packages. The richly-colored, crystal-faceted forms capture the essence of ORIBE'S exclusive high-end approach to hair care. The sharp edges, facets and deep engraving were achieved by engineering and molding in transparent PETG. Hot stamping and silk screening complete the package.
