"Functionality, environmental responsibility, and design excellence" was the brief that has led to Roberts Metal Packaging being shortlisted for the UK Packaging Awards 2025 in the ‘Metal Pack of the Year: Decorative & General Line’ category.

Working alongside Swiss sales partner Flaver AG, Roberts Metal Packaging helped bring to life a stylish and sustainable aluminium packaging solution for Puralpina’s 100% Natural Deo Crème range. The project included 50ml full-size jars and compact 15ml travel versions, available in four refreshing variants: Lavender, Mint, Natural, and Bergamot.

The brief required a packaging solution that not only visually aligned with existing Puralpina products but also met high standards of functionality, environmental responsibility, and design excellence. Aluminium was selected for its status as a permanently available material, which means it can be recycled again and again with no loss of quality – a material choice that matched the eco-credentials of Puralpina.

The chosen packs were manufactured in Roberts’ London facility on fully automated, state-of-the-art press-lines. Sourced from the company’s own SOFTLINE range, the jars were designed with smooth radii, light knurling on the lids for grip and EPE liners for enhanced seal integrity, delivering both premium aesthetics and leak-proof reliability.

Kirsty Taylor, Sales Manager at Roberts Metal Packaging, commented:

“This project is a testament to how metal packaging can meet the highest standards of beauty, function, and sustainability. We’re proud to have collaborated with Puralpina on a product that looks as good as it performs.”

The final result is a minimalist, clean design that complements the natural essence of the product and the aluminium substrate. Internally, the use of BPANI lacquer ensures product stability and shelf life, while externally, the jars offer shelf stand-out appeal with a modern yet timeless finish.

Consumers can recycle the packaging through standard household collections and thanks to aluminium’s endless recyclability, the jars support long-term environmental goals without compromising on quality or usability.

This smart, functional, and elegant packaging solution has added value to the Puralpina brand while reflecting the craftsmanship and agility of British manufacturing.

Roberts Metal Packaging is honoured to be shortlisted in a category that champions design excellence, production innovation and environmental impact across general line metal packaging.
