Smurfit Kappa, expert in complete packaging solutions for Bag-in-Box® collaborated with Domaine du Tauzia, egg producer, in order to develop a complete packaging solution for liquid eggs thanks to the Pouch-Up®. This type of packaging is an innovation solution on this market, mainly dominated by plastic containers and Bag-in-Box®.

Domaine du Tauzia is a family business which produces and sells its eggs in the Southwest of France. This firm, recognised in the out-of-home catering industry, wishes to differentiate itself and to become a key player in the shell eggs and pasteurised eggs industries. Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box offered Domaine du Tauzia the possibility of filling liquid eggs Pouch-Up thanks to its machinery expertise. Smurfit Kappa’s BIB700 SUP, especially adapted to filling liquid egg in Pouch-Up, is perfectly hygienic and meets the requirements of this market. Thanks to the new generation filling valve (two separate circuits) and to its structure in stainless steel, this hygienic machine meets all the HACCP criteria.

The Pouch-Up allowed this company to diversify its products’ packaging: “Liquid eggs packaged in Pouch-Up are a first on the market. They help us innovate and diversify. Designed for the catering sector in 2016, the Pouch-Up has really conquered the bakers and pastry network in 2015”, said Didier Daste, Sales Director of Domaine du Tauzia. The Pouch-Up® offers several advantages to its users: lightweight and unbreakable, it is extremely convenient.

The Pouch-Up guarantees the hygiene conditions necessary to its use in the food industry and in the catering circuit, which makes it perfectly adapted to the liquid eggs market. Available in 1 or 2L packaging, its pouring spout, placed at the top, allows an adapted and clean flow of the liquid eggs.

The Pouch-Up diversifies its application by opening new dynamic markets, such as the liquid eggs one. Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box is constantly working on innovation in order to be at the vanguard of innovation and to set new consumption trends.
