On April 17th, 2015, the Albéa group was listed for the first time among the 50 companies that file the most patent applications in France, as ranked by INPI, the French Intellectual Property institute.

The Albéa group, world leader in packaging for personal care and beauty, has been actively committed to innovation for around 50 years, developing breakthrough manufacturing processes and market-valued products to drive progress and creativity on its market.

Albéa's inclusion in the 2015 ranking particularly rewards the efforts of the 200 people in the group who work on innovation, supported by significant capital expenditure in design, development and innovation capabilities to support customers in their growth, in every region of the world.

With a portfolio of more than 1500 patents, Albéa has an integrated Intellectual Property (IP) department. Its primary role is to protect and defend the group's patents and innovations, while working on freedom to operate issues and the more contractual aspects of these IP assets.
