WP achieves Platinum: highest EcoVadis rating

Weener Plastics (WP) has achieved Platinum status in the 2023 EcoVadis Sustainability Rating. The Platinum medal affirms the company's ongoing commitment to a circular economy and a more sustainable future. Challenging environmental goals are translated into tangible actions in daily operations, and are leading to WP's innovative product and process developments.

WP's 100% Recyclable Valve recognized for its 'flawless dispensing'

WP was the runner-up with its 100% Recyclable Valve in the category for Food Sustainability at the Dutch Packaging Awards, with the jury noting that "dispensing is flawless" that the valve is "a great example of design for recycling".

USS and IST: New, truly sustainable aerosol spray systems from Weener Plastics

WP has developed the first ever 100% recyclable aerosol spray cap featuring an insert: the Ultimate Spray System (USS). Furthermore, the cap can be conveniently removed from the aerosol container before disposal, plus the parts can be made of PCR PP, making the USS a truly sustainable system.

WP Group accelerates to EcoVadis Gold recognition

Weener Plastics’ sustainability efforts have been recognised with an EcoVadis Gold rating. This excellent rating places WP in the top 1% of companies in the manufacture of plastics products industry worldwide.

Weener Plastics has developed a highly sustainable 65mm aerosol over cap called Sunshine that is lightweight, recyclable and allows 25% more to be packed into one box.

EcoVadis has awarded Proenfar, Weener Plastics' (WP) Group member in Colombia, a Platinum rating. This is the highest rating for sustainable leadership given by assessment leader EcoVadis, who have clearly recognized Proenfar’s long-running commitment to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Weener Plastics launches sustainable PE CosmoTop tube closure

For many years, Nivea has been Beiersdorf’s loved and always reliable global skin care brand. Great care was taken in selecting a packaging supplier for their new female deodorant and anti-perspirant range. Weener Plastics (WP) was chosen to design, develop and manufacture the new twist-lock spray cap, including development and manufacturing of the tooling.

Weener Plastics to acquire Proenfar

Weener Plastics (WP) Group acquires Latin American packaging solutions provider Proenfar from Altra Investments. The agreement was signed on 23 April 2018. With this acquisition, plastic packaging supplier WP continues its expansion in emerging markets and strengthens its product portfolio. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Weener Plastics acquires Artpack in Russia

Plastic packaging supplier Weener Plastics (WP) Group, headquartered in the Netherlands, has acquired bottle manufacturer Artpack Ltd in Russia. The transaction closed on 20 February 2018 for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition fits perfectly within WP’s global expansion strategy.
